On Monday 9 February, the VCE Unit 3 Geography students undertook a fieldwork excursion to the St Thomas Aquinas School development site in Huntly. Students are currently exploring the concept of land use change and the environmental, social, and economic impacts associated with changing land use.
Students met with the inaugural Principal of St Thomas Aquinas School, Mr Paul Wilkinson and Terraco town planner, Mr Alex Winfield, who provided their valuable insights into the development.
Students also surveyed local businesses and undertook a site analysis. Following this fieldwork, students will now have the opportunity to analyse the data gathered and complete a fieldwork report.
