Year 11 Camp took place in beautiful Alexandra and, whilst it was hot, the students (and staff) threw themselves into everything that was offered to them. They tested their problem-solving skills, teamwork, confidence and resilience. The experience also encouraged positive peer connections and gave students the chance to enjoy a range of activities, who said the highlights were the REACH Foundation, the giant swing and laser tag. Many students were able to conquer their fears, work on their leadership skills and enjoy time with their peers.

Student quotes:
"A very bonding and fun camp where we could learn more about each other and build more connections."
“It connected me with lots of different people I honestly thought I'd never talk to, and everyone was participating and having fun.”
“Reach really opened my eyes and I think made not just me but a lot of people aware of their own actions and the things they say. I think it was really good seeing people speak up and owning up to their own actions.”
“An incredible experience, full of fun, opportunities to step out of your comfort zone, and grow as a person.”
“I had heaps of fun”
“Camp was a great opportunity to make new connections, go out of your comfort zone and enjoy yourself with no stress of schoolwork or life outside of camp.”
“Year 11 Camp was filled with adventure, connection and fun.”
“The camp definitely inspired a change in social behaviour and a connectedness between peers.”
“I believe as a cohort we became closer and have come to an understanding of each other and each other's feelings, but not only that it was also just fun.”
“Camp was a great opportunity for us to become closer as a year level and learn things about each other.”
“Best camp ever!”
“Culture was incredible.”
“A camp worth the wait.”
“Alexandra Camp is better than you'd expect it to be! All the staff are nice and won’t force you to do anything you're uncomfortable with, so I’d honestly go again and encourage anyone else to go too, it's genuinely an amazing experience.”
“Wish we could have gone for longer.”
