Congratulations to all Year 7 students on the fine way they completed Term 1. The transition into secondary schooling is not to be underestimated, and we thank them for resilience and openness to the new adventure that life at CMCB brings!
Please take time to read your child’s progress report with them and discuss the learning behaviours they are exhibiting in their classes. Also, take the time to check their Learning Area results for assessments completed in Term 1. What can be celebrated? What are the areas for improvement in Term 2?
Beginning Term 2 presents itself with a range of new opportunities to embrace and now that the students are familiar with the timetable, class times, homework expectations, uniform requirements (blazers and ties to be worn in Term 2 and 3), navigating SIMON for Daily Messages, Calendar and Learning Area pages and break-time options, we should see a smooth transition into the next quarter of their Year 7 education.
Thank you for working with us in Term 1 - perhaps it was with your child’s Mercy Homegroup Leader, subject teacher, or a member of the Year 7 Leadership team. We really value our partnership with families.
Mrs Kim Greenwell, Mr Sebastian Greene, Mrs Sarah Cody and Miss Alyssa Lemon
Congratulations to the following students for averaging 92.7% for all assessments so far this term. What an amazing start each of these students has had in Term 1.

The Three B’s - Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Kind
Our Year 7 students are demonstrating that they can Live Mercy (in every moment) throughout their busy days at Coolock.
