Coolock Library News

Fun competitions and activities at the Coolock Library to celebrate the love of reading.

Book Week 2026

This year, Book Week, which runs throughout the last week in August, has the theme ‘Symphony of Stories’. In celebration of the love of reading, the Library staff will run fun activities and competitions throughout the term, until 28 August.

Ahead of Book Week, all students at Coolock have taken part in reading and judging the Children’s Book Council (CBCA) 2026 shortlisted picture books according to the CBCA judges’ criteria, as part of a book review. Each class has nominated a winner, and the College's overall vote will be published on the CBCA Shadow Judging website.
