The Year 10 Camp focuses on Culture, Compassion and Careers, and our students thrived throughout the camp, showing respect, responsibility and kindness as they engaged with presenters and venues. The camp incorporates twelve different programs across the week, with students selecting the career pathway that best aligns with their interests.

The Year 10 Camp is an exciting opportunity for our students to explore the sights of Melbourne, hear from those who have experienced homelessness and survived the Holocaust, link to industry professionals and find some independence, as they navigate public transport around the city. The Year 10s once again represented CMCB positively and engaged thoughtfully and enthusiastically.

We look forward to our Year 10s continuing to step up for the remainder of the semester!

I liked that we had some of our own freedom on camp, like exploring in small groups for lunch and dinner, and sticking to the timetable we were given. This made us use some initiative and time management by trying to get to places. It made me feel more independent and I like that. Kate

Experiencing Melbourne with friends was so fun, especially being able to do activities together like going to the night market and going to the museum. I am so grateful that we were able to be able to have Melbourne as a camp. Everyone was so nice and respectful, and it made me happy just being there. My favourite part was the tour of the Shrine of Remembrance. It was really interesting, and we had a great guide and great views. Max

Camp this year was so fun, from the scavenger hunt, the night market, and just chatting and hanging out with friends. I loved the Melbourne Theatre Company costume room. It was probably the best camp I’ve been to for the past three years. Emilie
