Active For Life

Year 9 Active for Life students participate in a range of community-based activities.

Throughout Semester 1, our Year 9 Active for Life students participated in a range of community-based activities, designed to provide real-world insights into the physical activity opportunities available to people at different stages of life. These experiences included Pitch and Putt, Lawn Bowls, Croquet, Squash, Roller Hockey, Disc Golf and Ten Pin Bowling.

Our Semester 2 classes are currently enjoying the same opportunities, with these hands-on experiences helping to bring their classroom learning to life. By exploring a variety of activities within the wider community, students are developing a greater understanding of the importance of lifelong participation in physical activity and recreation.

It has been particularly pleasing to hear the positive feedback received from community members and volunteers about how our students have conducted themselves. They have represented the College with pride, demonstrating the Mercy Values through their respectful interactions, positive attitudes and engagement within the community.
