Mercy Day 2026: Living Mercy Together

On Friday 18 September, our Catherine McAuley College Bendigo community will come together to celebrate Mercy Day, a special occasion that honours the legacy of Catherine McAuley and the values of compassion, service and justice that continue to guide our College. This year will be especially special as we also celebrate our Sesquicentenary.

This year's Mercy Day will be a vibrant day of celebration, community and fundraising in support of Mercy Works, our Term 3 awareness and fundraising focus. Mercy Works supports life-changing programs both in Australia and overseas, including community laundries in remote Aboriginal communities and initiatives that empower young people with disabilities in Timor-Leste.

Students are encouraged to:

• Wear their house-coloured clothing or costumes
• Bring a gold coin donation for Mercy Works
• Participate in our Mercy Day Liturgy
• Enjoy a range of fun activities and food stalls throughout the day

Purchase Your Mercy Day Wristband

To make the most of the day, families are encouraged to purchase a Mercy Day wristband via CDFPay before the event.

The wristband provides students with access to food and activities throughout the day and helps us streamline purchases and maximise our fundraising efforts. Purchased wristbands will be distributed on Mercy Day.

Every wristband purchased contributes to our Mercy Day fundraising efforts and helps support the important work of Mercy Works.
