National Netball Championships Team to Gold Coast

Intermediate Girls Netball Team will travel to the Gold Coast to compete in the Schools in Action National Netball Championships.

Schools in Action National Netball Championships

This weekend, Catherine McAuley College Bendigo's Intermediate Girls Netball Team will travel to the Gold Coast to compete in the prestigious Schools in Action National Netball Championships, proudly representing both the College and Victoria on the national stage.

Comprised of talented Year 9 and 10 students from across our two campuses, the team has enjoyed a successful lead-up to the championships, producing some outstanding performances at local tournaments throughout the year. Their preparation has not been without challenges, however, with several players managing injuries along the way. Despite these setbacks, the group has demonstrated remarkable resilience, determination and commitment as they have continued to strengthen both their game and their team connections.

This team goes into this year’s championships inspired by the achievements of the College's previous national representatives, including Championship-winning teams in 2023 and 2025 and a Runner-Up finish in 2024; the girls are eager to embrace the opportunity to test themselves against some of the country's best school netballers.

Limited training opportunities due to the players being spread across two campuses have not prevented this group from developing a strong sense of unity and camaraderie. Their support for one another, willingness to work hard, and pride in representing the College have been hallmarks of their journey so far.

As they swap the Victorian winter for the sunshine of the Gold Coast, the team is excited to experience all that the 2026 Schools in Action National Netball Championships has to offer. We wish our players, coaches and support staff every success and look forward to following their progress throughout the tournament.

Go well girls, and thank you for representing Catherine McAuley College Bendigo with such pride, gratitude and determination.
