We’re Rory and Sophie – your Arts Captains for 2026!
Hi, my name is Sophie. I chose to apply for Arts Captain because I want to contribute more to the school community through my passion for arts and helping others. I want to be more involved in art activities within and outside school. I think being an Arts Captain and member of the leadership team will enable me to carry this out.
Hi, I’m Rory. I’ve been passionate about the arts my whole life and am currently studying Drama, Music, and Media, as well as being involved in the arts outside school, through theatre and dance. I decided to apply for the role of Arts Captain because I’ve loved being a member of the SRC in the past, and because I want to help the arts grow at CMCB.
As Arts Captains for 2026, we see our role as representing and supporting the arts sector - promoting and organising events, representing the student body and encouraging student participation in the arts at the College.
We intend to foster the arts at both campuses through creating artistic opportunities, increasing participation, showcasing artwork and collaborating on ideas by ‘building a bridge’ between campuses. We aim to support students and make the arts accessible and valued.
We would love to hear from you. If you would like to contact us or get involved in any arts activities, please contact with us through the Assistant Principal Campus Leaders, Mr Watson at Coolock or Mrs Kemp at St Mary’s, or your Mercy Homegroup Leaders.
We hope to see you around this year!
