On Saturday 26 September, our Year 11 Cambodia Service Immersion group departed for an incredible 11-day journey through Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. This much-anticipated experience will provide students with opportunities to deepen their understanding of service, culture, global citizenship and the Mercy values that inspire us to walk alongside others.
Throughout their time in Cambodia, students will engage in a range of educational, cultural and service experiences, creating memories and insights that will stay with them long after they return home.
We wish all students and accompanying staff safe travels and a rewarding immersion experience. We look forward to hearing about their adventures, reflections and learnings when they return.
A full recap will be in the next issue.
Applications are currently open for our 2027 Immersion Programs, including the Year 9 Kakadu Immersion and the Year 11 Cambodia Service Immersion. Families interested in learning more are encouraged to visit SIMON for further information and application details.

In Phnom Penh on Day 2, the group visited the Toul Sleng Museum, formerly the S-21 prison and interrogation centre, to learn about the confronting and bloody history of the Khmer Rouge.
