On Thursday 30 October, a group of our Year 7 and Year 8 students attended the Junior Seeds of Justice Conference at the Academy of Mary Immaculate in Fitzroy. The day provided an opportunity for students to explore what social justice means and to focus on the issue of homelessness in Victoria.
Throughout the day, students engaged in practical activities, including creating hampers for a local organisation supporting people in need. It was a fantastic experience that allowed our students to connect with peers from other Mercy Education schools, share ideas, and deepen their understanding of how they can make a difference in their communities.
