Year 9 News - 12 February 2026

A Great Start to Year from our Year 9 Students

We congratulate Year 9 students on the way they have begun the 2026 school year. Despite the many challenges another school year can present, including new routines, different homegroup classes and electives, our students have taken this in their stride and have settled into their new surroundings, the West Building, in a very mature fashion. Our Year 9 staff have been very impressed with the effort and attitude shown in class and the friendly and polite nature of students in the yard and around the locker areas. Given such a strong start from our students, we look forward to seeing them progress further in their learning and cocurricular activities like camp, sport, and the performing arts.

Year 9 Camp Update

  • Camp Groups will be sent to students and parents/carers in Week 4 of this term.
  • Staff leading groups will be in contact with their students soon to discuss the camp in further detail and will meet on a regular basis.
  • Camp Leaders will pass on more information to students in assemblies and via Mercy Homegroup Leaders.
  • Students should start preparing for camp e.g. going for walks and collecting items on their equipment checklists.
