Well done, everyone, on the completion of a brilliant Term 2. This week sees the end of our formal assessments.
Students are encouraged to look at their results with their parents/carers and discuss their progress. If there are any questions or if any follow-up is required, please feel free to contact the classroom teachers. This is an opportunity to celebrate the success and take on board the feedback on ways to improve.
Please rest and relax over the semester break.
Year 8 Leaders
The Year 8 team would like to take this opportunity to thank the student leaders for creating the content, coordinating the presentations and presenting the weekly Year Level Assemblies. The Year 8 Leaders are the true work-horses of the year level and ensure that content is both engaging and informative for the students. They are also important members of the SRC and provide a platform for driving innovation in our school community.
Student-led initiatives:
If you have an idea for a new spot in our assemblies, please speak to one of your student leaders.
STEAM: Circulatory system
To better understand anatomy and physiology, students dissected hearts in their Science class. Well done everyone, especially for smiling for the camera without feeling faint.
Uniform Reminder
Please remember to wear your academic uniform on non-PE days. This means wearing your blazer to and from school as well as to the morning lessons up until Break 1. From Break 1 onwards, you may keep your blazer in your locker on the hook provided. If you are out of uniform for whatever reason, please bring a note from home.
Mercy Homegroup
As part of our morning routine, students regularly participate in circle time with their Mercy Homegroup. This provides an opportunity for speaking freely, sharing ‘What Went Well’ activity and being involved in praying together and living the Mercy values.
Please take a moment to celebrate your hard work during Term 2, enjoy the cold weather, and rest up for another action-packed Term 3.
