Heart Dissection

Year 10 Understanding the Human Body students recently took part in a hands-on sheep heart dissection as part of their study of the circulatory system. This practical investigation allowed students to explore the structure of the heart firsthand, identifying key features such as the chambers, valves, major blood vessels, and heart muscle. 

The activity provided an engaging opportunity to connect classroom theory with real-world anatomy, deepening students' understanding of how the heart functions to pump blood throughout the body.

Stop Motion Animation

Year 10 Media student, Emmett Kong, has started working through the Production Process to create a character from non-air-dry modelling clay.

He will then master camera stability, manipulate lighting and integrate sound effects to help develop the narrative structure of a short stop motion film.

Applying frame rates to create smooth movement is also one of the many skills taught during this unit of work.

We look forward to sharing the final results of our very talented Year 10 CMCB Media students.
